Merry Christmas from the Cox's!

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows how grateful we are at this Christmas Time! We have so many things to be thankful for, family, friends, a house, food, clothes....the way things are with the economy these days, so many people don't even have these things that we seem to always take for granted. We were so luck to get to go up to Idaho for Thanksgiving this year and spend it with some of Larry's family! I don't think we have spent Thanksgiving there for probably 10 years! Larry's sister Linda and her daughter Ronna and her husband Rob came and spent it with us also. Thank you for coming! It was quite the looooong road trip for the boys though! Now I remember why we don't do it very often! They are getting so big that we don't all fit very well in a Denali! With 6 people and 2 dogs I felt like if someone opened the door we would "pop" right out! We made it though and had a great time! We also stopped on the way home in Ogden and celebrated Whitlee's 1st birthday with her! December 2nd! She is such a cutie! She is definitely a little princess among all our boys! We love you Whitlee Jo! We will be spending Christmas here in St. George and hopefully Larry's parents will come and spend it with us! We hope that everyone has a Great Holiday Season!

1980 Something?

Taylor found some of Larry's PE clothes that he wore in highschool and was wearing them around the house! It was such a crack up that I had to take a picture of him! Then I did a scrapbook page titled "FLASHBACK"! I think he looks pretty cute, and he definitely looks a lot like Larry did when he was that age!

Summer 2008

It has been a GREAT summer!! We have been able to go camping and spend time with our family and watch the boys play some baseball and just hang out! Now that school has started, life is sort of back to normal. Both Tay and Trev have football practice and a game a week. Taylor sprained his wrist bad and couldn't play in his first or second game. So he is REALLY ready to play! Sky is home from Ogden and is going to Dixie State College and working for his Dad at the car lot. He seems to really like school and is doing good so far! We will keep our fingers crossed! A few weeks ago, Cade had to have 4 baby teeth pulled! He did so good! As you can see, they were pretty nasty looking! The Tooth Fairy gave him 5 bucks for them! I think I need to put some of my teeth under the pillow for some spending money! He is really liking 1st grade and is doing well with his school work. He is a good reader and math comes very easy to him. I hope he can keep it up! We went camping over Labor Day up to Pine Lake again. We had a blast! Hailee, Jerome and Whitlee Jo and Grandma and Grandpa Brown came with us too! We got to stay for 4 days! The weather was so nice, although it did rain a couple of days. It was great because it settled the dust! We had Yummy food, probably gained 10 lbs. Then it was back to reality! We didn't want to come home!

I guess I have been too busy to post this summer! Now that school is about to start I thought I better update before all the boys are off to college! We've had a great summer! It started off with baseball all-stars as usual. So for one week we were driving up and back every day to Cedar City for the state tournament. Trev's team did good, they beat Enterprise and then Dixie, then lost to Cedar National and Cedar American. So needless to say, we didn't win and go back to San Bernadino again. I actually felt nice to be able to go camping! We went to Pine Lake over the 24th of July and Cade learned to ride his motorcycle! He has waited so long! He was crazy on it, no fear at all! They even rode in the mud after it rained and had so much fun! Cade had quite a few crashes, don't get me wrong, I said he was CRAZY not that GOOD! I took some pictures of all of his crash owies! It was heaven to be up in the mountains again! It was so beautiful and smelled so good! Grandma and Grandpa Brown came up on Sat. and we went for a long ride up over the mountain, we all had a great time! Right after we got up there and parked our trailer, Taylor looked at the tires and asked if they were supposed to be touching each other. That was bad. We had a weld on the trailer break. So we had my mom and dad bring up a portable welder and Larry and Taylor welded it back to gether to get us home. I am amazed every day at the knowledge that my sweet husband has and that he is teaching to our boys. Who would think that they could just weld it back together? And I have no idea where Taylor learned how to weld!? Anyway, we made it home on a wing and a prayer. I was already planning the next camping trip on Labor Day weekend. Hopefully, Hailee, Jerome, Whitlee and of course Skyler will be able to come this time. We missed them! Skyler has been working in Ogden with his uncle Jerome for the summer. He plans on attending Dixie State College this fall. Taylor will be in the 10th grade and has been doing football all summer along with baseball and drivers ed. Trevor will be in the 8th grade and has been mowing lawns for the neighbors and playing baseball this summer. Cade will be in the first grade in is excited to eat lunch at school! It will be very different for me to have everyone in school all day long. They all start this coming Tuesday. Right now, we are all just enjoying the Olympics and the Little League World Series on TV this week. Go USA!

We Made It!

I can't believe that we made it through "Grad Week"! It was a very busy week with the boys getting out of school and all of the parties and of course Skyler's graduation! We are so proud of him! He looked very handsome in his cap and gown! Grandma and Grandpa Cox came from Idaho, Uncle Will came and Grandma and Grandpa Brown were there too! Thank you to all who came to support Skyler and all of the cards and gifts! It was a fun day that did not end untio 6am the next day! We had Grad Night from 8pm until 6am ! It turned out awesome and I think that the kids had fun. The theme was Indiana Jones and we were in charge of the money machine which of course never stopped all night long! There was a great group of kids that were there, I think it was around 250! I think that we must be getting old because the music was definitely way too loud and it took a few days to catch up on our sleep! So summer vacation is finally here! Trevor only has 2 more games and Taylor is just starting summer baseball. We are hoping that Skyler is going up to live in Ogden and work for Jerome for a few months and earn some money for college. It is kind of weird being off of our usual schedule but I'm sure we will get used to it!

Cade's Kindergarten Graduation!

Cade had his Kindergarten Graduation today! He did a great job saying his parts and singing all of his songs! He looked so handsome in his "Sunday Best"! Although he wouldn't leave his zipper tie alone and of course it broke! So he had on half of a tie! He still looked pretty darn cute though! His teacher Mrs. Robinson goes in to have her baby tomorrow so she will be missing the last 2 days of school, I think she had this all planned! He has a reading party tomorrow and then a water party on Thursday and then they only go to school for 1 hour on Friday! Tonight is a crazy night too, Trev and Cade both have a ball game at 6pm and Tay has an awards banquet at his school at 7pm and I have a PPI with the stake at 8pm! Grad Night is coming up fast and we have to have everything decorated by Thurs at 4pm. We got most of it done yesterday, just have a few finishing touches. It is looking pretty cool though. These seniors better appreciate it! The theme is Indiana Jones movies and we are in charge of 4 different booths to decorate and run. So if any one wants to come to grad night and play til 5:30 in the morning we would love to play with you!

Graduation!

It has been a while since I have gotten around to posting. Life is crazy right now! Taylor just finished playing baseball for Snowcanyon High School and is now going to football every morning and after school. Cade only has one more game and Trev is just half way through his season. So at one time we would sometimes have six games to go to in one week! It has been so fun to go and watch Cade play! He is a very good hitter and is improving every day on fielding! It is coach pitch and everyone gets to hit. And of course his team always wins! I usually have to make up a score because he always asks what the score was! Trev is tied for hitting the most home runs in his league so far. He hit 2 in won game! He has also been pitching awesome! We are getting ready for Skyler's graduation next week. I can hardly believe that he is old enough to be graduating! We are so proud of all of our boys! It is getting to be so warm here! I have been spending some time out at the pool! I could live out there! I am still taking some online classes and I really like it! Besides helping at the business, running kids, school, and now summer coming up, I think that my life is pretty planned out! I love it though! I am posting some pictures that Bradi Eardley took of Skyler for his senior pictures. She did a great job! Her new photogrophy business is sweetlifephotography.blogspot.com Check it out!!

March Madness!!

This month is starting off just as busy as ever! We went up to Ogden to see Whitlee get blessed. When we left St George it was 70 and when we got to Ogden it started to snow and we got 6 inches overnight! I love living in St George! The blessing was quite the event! Whitlee wore the same dress that her Great Grandma Brown was blessed in and also her mom Hailee. It was beautiful and in great shape! She slept throught the whole thing of course! After the blessing, we all went over to Jerome's parents house and had an awsome brunch! All kinds of food and it was decorated just like a reception! I can only imagine what this little girls wedding will be like some day! I'm so glad I have all boys!!
Taylor made the freshman baseball team! He was so excited! This is what is has worked so hard for the past 4 years! He is playing catcher and left field. So I guess our spring will be filled with ballgames! Cadeor is also signed up to play coach-pitch and he can hardly wait to play! He goes out and practices with Trev. His favorite thing to do is hit the ball! He can do without the catching and the throwing!
Trev is also gearing up for baseball season. He has another tournament in a couple of weeks and then league starts. Larry is coaching his team for this last year. I think that he has coached the Red's for the last 5 years, he is probably ready to be done!
Skyler just had his "18th" birthday! I can hardly believe it! We went to the Texas Roadhouse to eat and he got to "Ride the Saddle" while we all gave him a big YEE HAW! We didn't have a clue what to get him. He said that there wasn't anything that he needed or wanted. Taylor helped me decide on a cowboy hat! Who would've guessed?!! He was surprised as you can see by the picture! All in all it was a great day!
Larry and I are keeping busy just finishing up some pools and trying to sell some cars! It is still a little slow, but we are hoping that with the nice weather now, that it will start to pick up! I have been doing a little bit of yard work and planting a few flowers. I am ready for SPRING! I want the grass to be green again and it to get warm so we can start using our pool again!

February News

Well, this month has been as busy as every other month for our family! We are just finishing up a pool for the parade of homes and it is always a "Hurry up and get done" job!!
Trevor played in the Presidents Day baseball tournament. They did okay, lost every game, okay they kind of stunk it up! Trev played well. He pitched awesome and hit good. It is just that some of the teams we played had some boys on their team that looked like they could've drove the team bus there! They were pretty big compared to our boys! It was just nice to be out in the sunshine again! I can't wait for summer! I love spring in St George, it just doesn't last long enough. Taylor has highschool baseball tryouts this next week and he is pretty excited for it. I hope he makes it. I think that he is definately good enough, but you never know how many they will take. The boys are all growing up so dang fast, it really makes me sad. Skyler will graduate this year, Taylor is a freshman, Trever will be going to the middle school next year and Cade will be in first grade! Everyone will be in school for a full day for the first time ever! What is a Mom to do?! I'm sure I will think of something! I have really gotten into digital scrapbooking! I think that I am getting addicted to it! I can spend hours on the computer making different pages. It is a lot of fun!
